Identifying Individual Animals

What are individual animal sightings?

Specific species such as leopard and wild dog can be individually identified based on their unique markings.

Researchers associated with Tracking the Wild create identikits for known individual animals. The information in these identikits is used to create a profile page for each individual animal.

You can then try and match your sighting with one of the individuals in our database.

Tagging an individual animal in one of your sightings will list that sighting under the individual's profile page.

The profile page lists a history of every time that individual is seen as well as interesting information such as its age and other family members.
